#07LR01 - MRF LEADERS' REPORT – January 6, 2007

TO: The Leaders of the American Motorcyclists' Rights Movement
FROM: Michael Kerr- MRF Vice President

SUBJECT: MRF Leaders Report
January 7, 2007

Fellow MRF Members:

The Motorcycle Riders Foundation is aware of concern among our members and
rights activists nationally over legislation by Speaker Pelosi that may
adversely affect our ability to lobby and possibly erode our rights to
free speech.

We are closely monitoring the situation and we will make a statement as
soon as we see the actual language in the bill in question proposed by the
speaker.

As of this writing the Government Printing Office (GPO) has released the
text of H.R. 1 though H.R. 4, none of those bills happen to be the bill in
question. With the exception of new rules for members of the House of
Representatives, no additional information on other legislation has been
released at this point in time.

In the start of a new congress a large number of bills are introduced and
there is a backlog by the GPO in releasing the text to the public. We are
anticipating a considerably large release of information by the GPO early
next week

The fact that Pelosi's bill was not H.R. 1 as rumor had it would be, is
somewhat significant.

Vice President of Government Relations Jeff Hennie and I discussed this
matter in detail during our regularly scheduled weekly telephone
debriefing Wednesday.

Again, we will not comment until we actually see the language in the bill,
but we are disturbed with what is being floated in the Washington rumor
mill.

Michael Kerr
MRF Vice President

Bill text release by GPO as of 1-6-07/ 3:00 CST

HR 1: Implementing the 9/11 Commission Recommendations Act of 2007

HR 2: Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007

HR 3: Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2007
